Isaac Bevers, a senior from Appleton West High School, maintains working conditions by emptying a waste bin at the School Youth Build Home — a partnership between the Appleton Housing Authority and the Appleton Area School District. With the 10th Anniversary Open House Celebration and Ribbon-cutting event set for May 23, every minute is crucial to the Construction Technology students from Appleton East High School, Appleton West and Appleton North High School who are working hard to finish building this year’s affordable home for a local family in need. “There is a lot of trust that goes into home building,” Isaac says. “I mean it’s not everyday that a bunch of high school kids get to build a house. Everyone on the team has a part, and we all trust each other to get the job done.” 

In conjunction with the project, Lori Van Handel, AHA Marketing & Development Dir., works with marketing students Greg Sense and Zach Marquardt, to capture the construction students at work for web and social media posts.
