Meet Nathan Schuh, an Appleton North senior, currently working on this year’s School Youth Build Home — a partnership between the Appleton Housing Authority and the Appleton Area School District, which brings together Construction Technology students from Appleton East High SchoolAppleton West High School and Appleton North High School to build an affordable home for a local family in need.Nathan currently enjoys working at Faith Technologies as an electrician in training. He is participating in the School Youth Build class in order to gain a greater knowledge of construction. Nathan notes that his passion for construction started at a young age, “I’ve loved building things since I was four-years-old with my grandpa. By the time I was five, I already had experience working with a band saw.”

In conjunction with the project, Lori Van Handel, AHA Marketing & Development Dir., works with marketing students Greg Sense, Zach Marquardt and Nick Smidt to capture the construction students at work for web and social media posts. All three are pursuing marketing learning opportunities at their schools through the Willems Student Marketing Team. Photo & post by Greg, Zach & Nick.
