Spotlight on AHA First-time Homebuyer Program – June is National Homeownership Month!

Travis and Lauren Svatek enjoy relaxing on the back deck of their new home with their dog, Halo. The Svateks are excited to be new homeowners and thankful for the down payment and repair assistance they received from the Appleton Housing Authority’s First-time Homebuyer Program, which made owning a home of their own attainable. “We were ecstatic when we moved and our mortgage is actually cheaper than what our rent was,” Travis notes. Lauren is also happy that they are able to have pets and add their own touches to really make their home their own.
