About Us

Neighborhood Housing Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings the community the School Build Program, a collaborative partnership of the Appleton Housing Authority and the Appleton Area School District.

Students from Appleton East, West and North High Schools receive a truly hands-on education and unique work experience while making a huge contribution to our community–building houses that incorporate universal design features, Energy Star materials and Build-Green concepts. Watch Video

This partnership began in 2007 and continues to grow every year as the two organizations work together to build affordable houses for families in need within our communities. Each new year brings another opportunity for students to build another affordable home.
